Look what I bought...

Last weekend was like a shop-a-palooza for me, and it all started with one purchase.

While browsing Etsy-- as I am often prone to do, especially when I am directed there by a link on, ahem, A Cup of Jo-- I spotted this gorgeous amethyst druzy stalactite necklace set in 24K gold on a gold-filled chain that I just had to have. I mean, I couldn't get it out of my head. Normally, I can just "heart" something and move on but no, not this time. Despite the price, which I won't print here since I don't want to remind myself, I soon put it in my cart. I convinced myself that it was OK because it was so beautiful and different, like nothing I had ever seen. Also, I asked the boy if he thought I should buy it and he said-- and I'm not making this up-- "Sure, why not?" Granted, it's easy for him to say that when it's not his money being spent! But I went ahead and got it.

After placing the order, I kept clicking over to Fabianna's Etsy shop to drool over the rest of her drusies because they are all so fabulous. I felt the urge to buy another but resisted. I just couldn't wait to get mine! A few days later, on Wednesday, I received my necklace in the mail and I was so happy to see it! It is just as pretty in person. And it came in a Muslin bag for safekeeping.

I haven't worn it out yet, but soon, very soon. Of course, I had to snap a quick pic to share with you guys! So, what do you think?

Well, like I said, last weekend was a shop-a-palooza for me, so there's a bit more to this retail story I still have to share...

To be continued... tee hee.

I love the rawness to this necklace! And the blues are very pretty.

Can't wait to hear about rest of the shopping adventure, too :)
