Meet Dondo, the Echeveria plant.
He's my newest family member, of the green variety.
I got him at a cute little shop called Kingdom of Herbs-- located inside the Ferry Building Marketplace-- on my last day in San Francisco. I'm such a "succa" for succulents, I couldn't resist him, or the adorable pot.
However, I only today got around to properly potting him. He'd been sitting in the pot for weeks now, on my windowsill, but his roots were still in the store's plastic casing. What a bad plant-mama I am. Luckily Dondo has decided not to hold it against me. He seems to be doing well. Still green? Check. Still has leaves? Check.
Hopefully I won't kill him like I did with Echeverias #1 and #2. I'm crossing my not-so-green thumbs.

Awww... I think Dondo is cute, my mom would love something like that
He is just adorable. I love Kingdom of Herbs, they sell some of the best-scented soap products I've ever smelled!
so funny that you mention that Heather because I DID in fact buy some scented soap, too! haha. couldn't resist that either! I forget the name of the scent... I think it's mango butter. it's amazing!
Love it... I have a (really) bad history with keeping things alive, but I bought my first houseplant in early July and it's still going strong! Haha who knew?
Happy Monday :)
Awwww... so cute. I killed my little Hiraldo. SO sad.
Girl, I have a BLACK thumb. I could kill those fake plastic plants you get at Target.
Good luck with Dondo - gotta love that name!
Dionne- I remember Hiraldo! He was so cute! sorry you killed him :) I hope Dondo doesn't suffer the same fate!
and Tracy, I can't take all the credit for his name... it's actually his full species name, or what have you. The label on the container he came in said Echeveria "Dondo." :) But I thought it sounded like a good name so there you have it!
SO cute, hope he survives! he wouldn't have much of a chance in my household :)
ps. love that pot!
Looking good!
