My own Marley

While eating lunch today, I saw "Marley & Me" on TV for the second time and it made me cry just as much as the first time. A blubbering fool, I was! Such a sweet movie but also the saddest movie, I swear. You know if you've seen it.

When the credits started to roll I grabbed my own little pup for comfort-- a pooch that would be just as much of an adorable terror as Marley if she were 50 (or more) pounds heavier. Luckily, due to her small size, her crazy and her chewing is more easily contained.

After a hug and kissy-face fest with Hazel, I still felt a little bummed-- until I remembered this hilarious picture I took of her over the weekend. Being the pint-sized Marley that she is, Hazel snuck into our bedroom and found the boy's Halloween wig on the floor of the closet, and then proceeded to run around the apartment with it, gnawing as she went.

Once the boy and I got a hold of her, we decided to see what she'd look like with a little more fluff. The result made me LOL.

It's tough going back to work after a long holiday weekend. (So tough!) I hope this pic brings you a little cheer on what I'm sure is also a manic Monday for you.

Back to work,

That movie made me bawl! My sisters, mom, and I were in a row all sniffling non-stop, my dad was the only one not crying.

Ahh, she's so adorable. Going back to work wasn't as bad as I expected today. That was a relief.

I LOVE that pic. SO cute. My mom has a lab that looks EXACTLY like Marley and his name is Murphy so we all bawled our faces off in that movie! Haha

I cried my eyeballs out during Marley&Me, that's for sure. I never had a pup so I can't imagine how painful it is to lose a pup who's been with me for a long time.

Ps. Hazel is supppperrrcutttte!

Marley & Me made me sob as well. I don't have a dog now, but I did once. His name was Henry and I loved him so much. He ran away a few days before my birthday and I was so heartbroken. Now I have a cat who I also love tremendously. Anyway, thanks for sharing your cute dog pic! Made me smile:)

I try to avoid as many animal movies as I can that I know are gonna make me sob hysterically. I have dodged the bullet that is Marley & Me so far but I know I'm gonna have to check it out someday.

I hate going back to work after a holiday weekend, so I'm right there with ya. However, Sunday brunch with new friends DOES help ease the burden a bit, eh? ;)

It was so lovely to meet you on Sunday - hoping the rest of your week eases up on you a bit. Oh, and your pooch Hazel is the CUTEST!

I know exactly how you feel! I saw the movie, when I had been as an exchange student for some months (and away from my old dog, who will die soon) and I just cried during the whole movie from beginning until the end....

How sweet it Hazel? I love small dogs. I have a little chihuahua/terrier mix that is the light in my life.

It was incredibly nice meeting you as well. Didn't we have a great time? I love your resolution. I happen to have a personal list with each of the free days at the large museums. If you would like my secret list...it's yours my dear!
