Checking in

Happy Wednesday everyone! Sorry I've been a bit out of touch... it's been a crazy busy week as usual and I've been lazy when it comes to blogging. But I did want to stop in and say I hope you are enjoying the first week of March! It is one of my favorite months, partly because my birthday comes at the end of it but also because for me it marks the beginning of spring. Not that it has been all that cold here in Southern California-- minus the sporadic rain showers-- but there is a different feeling in the air when spring comes, and that's not just my allergies talking. Can't you always tell the change of the seasons in the wind? I can. Or, at least, I think I can.

Anyway, I thought I'd leave you today with a happy, colorful image by Youngna Park that I immediately saved to my desktop the minute I opened my 20x200 newsletter. (Some of you may have already seen it on Melanie's blog-- the girl is obsessed with bunting. Though, I can't blame her.) While the photo is titled Winter Flags (East Village, New York), for some reason it looks like the coming of spring to me. Those trees might be barren now, but soon they will be filled with life-- just like those flags.

P.S. I was so excited Sunday night when I received an email from Rachel over at Elephantine letting me know that I won her Kristin Sanchez giveaway! I enter a lot of giveaways in blogland and it's the second time I've ever won one but I am still amazed that I actually won! Makes me giddy. Not to mention that what I won is gorgeous.
