Breaking down, going for broke

So this is a late post, I couldn't bring myself to write about my day earlier, but I thought now that the day is almost done I would share.

I had a mini breakdown today. About the whole moving thing. There is just so much to do. We are literally moving our life and massive amount of stuff to a new home. In a week. Last week we weren't sure if we were going to move but thought we probably would at the end of the month. And then come Monday, we signed a lease. Craziness.

This is what the new apartment looks like.

Now I need to pack, clean up the apt, change my address, get renters insurance and . . . rob a bank. I kid, I kid. But really, that is what brought me to the melting point this afternoon: money. As in, I have none. This move is going to essentially wipe out my bank account, at least until my next paycheck. Which is paltry, to say the least.

Anyway, even though the move will save us both money in the long run, in the short term it is costing a heck of a lot. 'Cause we had to pay rent on our current apt and new apt both this week, plus a hefty deposit.

Ok, I will stop complaining now. Things will get better. It's just one of those weeks.

And for those of you who may be wondering, the new place is very similar to our current abode: a 2 + 2 with newly updated kitchen and bathrooms. There is nice neutral paint on the walls and crown molding, too. So it is a pretty good place. Kitchen is a bit smaller, but there is an actual dining room and the living room should fit the huge sectional we have. I'll keep you updated on the move this weekend and try to post some pictures come Monday.

Wish me luck for a smooth move!

Moving is SO stressful, but it sounds like you'll be much happier in this new place! Good luck with the move and definitely post some pictures if you can :-)
